Our Savior Lutheran Church - Bingen, Washington
WELCOME!
Are you looking for a church home?
Finding the right church is far more important than picking a grocery store or a gym. Our members understand how hard it is to walk into a new church door - we've all been there at one time or another. Come worship with us. You are invited to join us on Saturday morning. We are small in number, but we come together regularly to hear God's word and invite you to come visit us. Guests will be greeted and asked to sign our guest book and given our bulletin for that service. Then you are invited to visit until it's time to go in the sanctuary (main church) for the service to begin when the candles on the altar are lit and the organ softly plays. Lutherans love to sing - so we begin each service with a hymn (in our hymnal in front of your seat) and then our pastor or vicar says "In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" and we reply with an "AMEN." The order of the service is printed in the hymnal which we all follow. The service is laid out in an orderly fashion with three sections:
We do hope you will come visit us this Saturday morning in Bingen, at 9:00am. May God also give you His blessing so that through the Word we hear, we all may be able to serve Him with more dedicated, Christ-centered lives. I was glad when they said to me,
'Let us go to the house of the Lord!' Psalm 122:1 |
Why do our two churches meet on Saturday mornings?
Our two churches are small, but we are blessed to have Pastor Lange and vicars from our sister congregation in Gresham (who have Sunday services) willing to drive to Bingen and then to Klickitat to be with us Saturday mornings. Pastor Lange and Vicar Hahn from Redeemer Lutheran Church in Gresham have been serving us alternating weeks. Pastor Lange leads our communion services usually on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month, and Vicar Hahn leads our regular services on the other Saturdays.
